01 — Our story

From a family trade to a global export business.

Two generations of the Bidiwala family in the electrical-supplies trade — and the partnership that took it beyond borders.

What began over two decades ago as a trusted local business in India has today grown into a global export operation serving some of the Gulf region's most demanding infrastructure and construction projects. For more than 22 years the Bidiwala family has been deeply involved in the electrical materials and supplies industry — building a reputation founded on quality, reliability and long-term relationships that led to authorised dealerships with leading brands and a business known for delivering genuine product at competitive prices.

The next chapter began when Abdul Karim Bidiwala and Gufran Vahora came together with a shared vision — to take this legacy of trust beyond borders and build a globally focused export business serving the rapidly growing infrastructure markets of the GCC and beyond. Abdul Karim brought decades of hands-on industry expertise, extensive supplier networks and deep operational knowledge. Gufran brought a modern global outlook, specialising in brand building, marketing and representing the company's capabilities on the international stage.

Abdul leads Zidan Global Trade end-to-end — from authorised-dealer relationships with Schneider, Legrand, Havells and Polycab through to the operating standards on our dispatch floor. He started the business in Ahmedabad with a single MCCB enquiry from Sharjah, and has spent every year since building one long supplier-customer relationship at a time across the GCC.

05 — How we work

Four principles we won't bend on.

These were written on the back of a packing slip in 2015. They're still on the wall in the dispatch bay.

  1. One named contact, always.

    Every account is owned by a single person who signs your proforma, photographs your packing, answers your WhatsApp at 8pm. No queues. No ticketing systems. No “let me check with my colleague.”

  2. Genuine product, every time.

    We are authorised dealers for every brand we stock — no parallel imports, no grey market, no “equivalent.” Certificates of authenticity and manufacturer warranty come with each shipment.

  3. Documented dispatch.

    Every container is photographed three times before sealing — open, packed, sealed. You receive the photos, the container number and the tracking link before goods leave the yard.

  4. The price is the price.

    Our quotes itemise everything: product cost, freight, insurance, port handling, documentation. No hidden “handling fees” on the final invoice.
